Anger
Anger is blood red.
With a taste like metal
And a smell like gasoline, it burns.
For fun it displays folly.
While a gentle answer makes it mad,
A man's wisdom makes it sad.
But the wrath of others makes it happy.
Anger is smaller than love,
But bigger than common sense.
Forgiveness is its enemy,
But a closed heart is its friend.
Anger keeps hate in a special place.
Its favorite place is in the lap of fools,
But it hates to be in those quick to listen and slow to speak.
Sin is its greatest success,
Yet overcoming kindness is its greatest faliure.
Anger is blood red.
With a taste like metal,
And a smell like gasoline, it burns.
