Anger

Anger.

It's a fire that starts within.

A fire that's hard to control.

A fire that eats everything inside you until you have nothing left but an empty feeling, a void that can't be filled, a hole.

And to think it was something so small, something so insignificant that your brain overcompensated and mixed up water with gasoline and instead of putting it out you fed it, you let it grow, you let it grow and destroy your mind, your body.

Anger.

It made you into something you're not, something you don't want to ever be.

The monster hidden within us all that we choose to feed when we choose not to control ourselves, our emotions, our minds.

A monster that feeds on bits and pieces and grows and grows like a fire, like an uncontrollable fire this monster breaks his cage and roars to life with a rage that kills our hearts, infects our minds.

Infects.

Our.

Minds.

And it is only until we see the monster we have become that it is clear what destruction we have caused ourselves.

And we begin to think.

And we begin to think.

And we think some more, until we realize the corruption that has occurred has been within.

So we grab that monster and crush him with his own rage, his own evil, until he is so small that we can put him back in his cage.

And so he waits, lingers, starves, but doesn't die.

Cries, but isn't heard.

Withers, but still remains.

Until a crumb, and nothing more, falls to him. And with it he smiles.

Because he knows we have failed ourselves once again...

Anger.
