The Anger Inside (MindRiver V)
I want to scream.
I want to lash out towards you,
At your face,
And I want to release the guttural cries of my heart.
You're dipping my name into tar and blood.
How am I supposed to watch that?
Why do you expect me to love you?
I can't smile at you any longer.
You broke my family's heart.
You're breaking mine.
Lies.
Lies, lies, lies.
I see them. I hear them.
I know them.
Stop telling me it's my fault.
Stop killing my spirit and blaming me.
You prick my skin with what you think are pins;
They're bloodied swords bathed in hatred-
I'm not immune to pain!
I thought I was your friend, your sister,
And you spit 'project' at me as you kick in my knees,
Expecting me to grovel,
And press your foot of judgement on my neck.
God Almighty, I am so ANGRY!
Love? Love turns to lies and
Now you're cursing mine to warp into hate.
Dirty me with thoughts;
Forget hearing mine.
Goodbye. I'm gone.
You lied and said you needed me.
You'll see how untrue that is.
