Anger's Angels

We all have that one uncle that messes around

As a kid he would even tackle me to the ground

I never knew one day he would be, he was worse off than me...

A cancer diagnosis looking bad

was going to make my uncle lose everything he had,

but as a superintendent of a school district he was always optimistic

my uncle would leave hand written letters

that made friends, family, and co-workers feel better

but little did we konw he wasn't getting better

college move in day, at the same college my uncle went to I must say

all is going well from what I can tell

day three and I am all settled in

all my problems under my chin

I wake up at 7 in the morning

and after one phone call I am now mourning

My uncle had fallen to cancer

and nobody had an answer

I never realized the impact he had on everyone

until at his funeral I saw a ton

hundreds of people who loved Gary Anger gathered to share grief

in Gary's presence we found relief

we now say goodbye to his presence,

but in our lives he is a permanent resident

from my uncle Gary I have learned passion, acceptance, resillience, and love

I know he will always look over me from above.
