Animal Spirit
Black,
Like the night,
Slick,
As a panther,
Smart,
As a raven,
I saw it and it saw me,
Wings to take flight if it will,
A call to cry slightly shrill,
A time and a place I've not yet known,
And somewhere soon I will need to go,
Take flight earthen crow,
To the sky above our heads,
And it is there that I will meet you,
It is there I will follow,
Our journey slightly twisting,
Into undergrowth,
And evergreens,
But we will be,
You the crow,
And silly 'ol me
