Anna' s Lost Love

Anna, light of my life, fire of my loins

My sin, my soul.

Excessive desire for that girl.

That frenzy of mutual possession,

I felt her thoughts floating through mine.

Oh, Anna had you loved me thus.

We made it up very gently,

I loved her more than anything.

She was only the faint violet whiff.

I was not her boyfriend, not a glamour man, not a pal, not even a man at all.

She had absolutely no where else to go.

The awfulness of love and violets.

I promise you,

I adored every pore and follicle of her perfect body,

She merely considered me.

My America sweet immortal dead love.

She had been so pretty,

The rest is a little flattish and faded.

I loved her more than anything.

This is the only immortality you and I may share, my Anna.
