Anna of the Wolves (Red Riding Hood Remix)
Once upon a time....there was a little girl who was getting ready to visit her grandmother. The little girl lived in a small cottage in the middle of the woods with her mom. The little girl loves going to visit her dear old grandmother because her grandmother was a very wealthy woman and would give the little girl expensive presents. One day the little girl decided to steal a box of her mom's sugar cookies to bring to her grandmother. The little girl's mom makes a living by baking sugar cookies and selling them in town. The little girls grandmother had tried the cookies a long time ago when her mom went to visit her but hasn't been seen ever since. The little girl hid the cookies in her backpack but before the little girl left however, her mom warned her of the dangerous wolves that roam the forest. It is said that one wolf can smell you from a mile away before you know its even there. There has also been a century old law passed in town that puts a bounty on the heads of wolves. Everybody participates but almost none do it for the money. The mom also gave the little girl a small pistol with three bullets in it to protect herself in case she ran into trouble. The mom would have gaven her daughter more ammunition but she could barely afford to get the gun and was struggling to keep food on the table. With the pistol tucked in the waistband of her skirt, the little girl headed off to her grandmother's house with the cookies. For hours, the little girl walked through the forest by herself keeping a look out for the wolves. After a while her stomache gave a small grumble. It was sutle at first but as the little girl walked and walked constantly, that little grumble in her stomache turned into a really load roar. The little girl was growing weak with hunger but didn't come across any berries or other wild fruit that she could eat. All she had to eat was the box of sugar cookies that she was supposed to deliver to her grandmother. The hunger grew stronger and the little girl became weaker until it got so bad that she had to stop and rest under a tree. The box sat there in the little girl's lap with its delicious smell dancing into her nostrils. The little girl, with no other options decided to open the box and eat a few of the sugar cookies leaving any that remained for her grandmother. She was about to open the box until suddenly she heard a small ruffle in the plants in front of her. The plants ruffled like crazy as if something was crawling through them. Thinking it was a wolf, she pulled out her pistol and trained it at the plants. With her free hand she open the box... but then out of the bushes a black wolf jumped out the bushes! It pounced on the little girl knocking the box of cookies out her hand and onto the ground. The wolf snarled at the little girl.Staring into her soul with its blue eyes. Similar to the color of her grandmother's eyes. "DO NOT EAT THE COOKIES!!!", the wolf yelled. The little girl then pointed the pistol at the wolf's body and shot it twice in the ribs. The wolf jumped back in pain and fell to the ground in front of the littke girl. The little girl walked up to the wolf and put her foot on the wolf's head to keep it from getting up and biting her. She was about to finish the wolf off with the last bullet but she decided to ask why the wolf said not to eat the cookies. Surely if they were good for her mom to bring her grandmother them then the must be good for the little girl to eat...right? As the life drained from its body, the wolf said to the little girl "Anna...your mother did this to me....the cookies she brought me...the ones she sells....they are not just cookies...they're poison! The poison only kills the lucky ones....the ones that don't die...become wolves. I was an unlucky one... Anna...I...am... your...grandmother!". The wolf was dead now. Its body transformed from a wolf to the corpse of Anna's grandmother. Who died trying to save her from a life of constantly hiding and being hunted by people out of fear and out of hate. Worst of all of that... a life of being misunderstood.Like being on death row without trial or any way of explaining yourself and no hope of anybody listening.Truly a fate worst than death. Anna crushed her mom's cookies angirly then with the pistol in her hand walked back home. She was pissed that not only would her mom be so wicked as to turn people into a locally hated animal but to do that to her own mother. Anna knew exactly what to do. She got her house and had every wolf in the forest following behind. Her mom came out of the house and Anna immidiatly shot her in the knee. Her mother screamed in pain as Anna and the wolves circled her. Her mom demanded an explanation but all that Anna did was drop one of her mom's cookies on her face. The wolves were all furious at this point. Ready to kill the woman that is responisible for them being the way they are. They feasted on Anna's mother while Anna watched with a smile. As they ate,the wolves began to take back their hunan form. By they time they had picked clean the meat from Anna's mother's body, they were back to normal. They people praised Anna and til this day she is still considered a heroine. They call her Anna of the Wolves. The End.
