Anna's humming bird
Far from home, I resign, within a nest unlike the one I am used to.
The cruel climates of desert leave me parched and longing for home.
I am Anna's humming bird, raised with out a father like most of my kind, and do not blend into the rustic painted scenery or amongst City people or like powdered blankets of snow.
I am pink like the sunrises that kiss the sweet oceans that grip the hands of the shores I miss.
How I miss the sun kissed palm trees that bathe me in shade and swooning over the sweet delicate scent of flowers and sea side vendors.
The thick feeling of moist ocean air against my wings, feeling freer than small children in playgrounds.
Embraced by the sounds of a symphony of crashing waves and soft melodic laughter.
I am Anna's Hummingbird,
trapped by a cage of restrictions and poor circumstances.
Surrounded by small minded pigeons and inconsiderate finches. All too stuck in their ways to understand what it is like to feel alone.
I am anna's hummingbird,
and it is appernt that do not belong here, However, I shall one day slip through the bars of this cage and escape to my paradise homeland.
For a cage will be a cage...even if it is made out of goal,
I am Anna's Hummingbird.
