Anniversary!

Dear My Love,

Wheewww

A year in the books

April 22nd to Aprill 22nd

Who would of known we’d be such a good look

But Im’a take it back and help you start remembering

A year ago we sat on that bench I looked into your eyes and I knew I was took

I decided you were the one

Not because you were cute, lightskin or cause you could cook

I chose you because I got a genuine feel

That you were intelligent, caring, and grateful

Girl I knew you was real

I wasn’t gonna let you pass up

So I had to make it official and sign that seal

Remember when the ice cream started drippin out that cup?

I knew eventually I was gonna give you my heart

But I didn’t think you would steal

You were the first so I didn’t really know what I was getting into

But I made a commitment to you, I had to honor that deal

Now I’m thinking a year later

Our bond is rock solid, unbreakable, harder than steel

And I remember how nervous I was

Tryna stay cool, calm, and collected

Breathing in air to ignore that little buzz

And it gets hard sometimes

Ill admit that it does

But I think back to that moment on the bench

And I know I aint make you my girl just because

I did it cause I was glad to

Not because I had to

And you get on my last nerve and make me mad too

But you’re also there for me when Im sad too

And you grew on me and now I think you bad too

And when I made my move I said

“Ill be your boo”

Now a year later I still am and youre mine too

Damn, that day I was even scared to hold your hand

Now I walk around and say, “My girlfriend is Kayla White”

I’m proud to be your man

And I already told you that I’m your biggest fan

I’ll read all your writing, support you, love you, and encourage you

I’ll do everything I can

And if someone asked me to name a girl that you’re not better than

I’d tell them I can’t

You’re the best in the world, one of a kind, a true specimen

And before I wrote this I ran

I thought of how you’re gonna stay in my life

You’re one of the masterpieces in my plan

(Wow!)

You’re a once in a lifetime opportunity

And a year later being in a relationship is not so new to me

We been in this for a year now

So I know who I shouldn’t and shouldn’t be

What I should and shouldn’t do

And what I should and shouldn’t see

Cause we been through a lot

We came a long way

Now you call me babyyyy instead of just calling me Zay

(BRUH!!!!!)

If you stab a hole in my heart

Love is the only thing I’m bleeding

Baby for you I’m always feening

Anytime you want it Ill give you good sexual healing

And deep down in me I gotta really good feeling

That we gone stay together there wont ever be onions peeling

(OMG THAT’S A BAR!)

I liked you cause you weren’t superficial

You were different from the rest of the girls, down to earth

You wouldn’t throw a tantrum if there was an issue

And I didn’t have to buy you gifts or show off money to get you

Now I like you cause you care

Texting me to say good morning,

Asking me if I got home lets me know that you’re there

Remember when we were in digital publishing?

And I would walk over to your desk every time class was finishing

And you were shy

And never was the first one to say Hi

I could see the little blush on your face

Your cheeks got red, your ears flared up

And I knew I would have to be the one to chase

Or you remember history class

After everyone else I would come in last

And walk in and say your full name

I did it everyday but you never did the same L

Or you remember when we went out to lunch for the first time

And we ate Amantas and you were so chill

I looked into your eyes and knew you had to be mine.

Or that time we sat on the other bench

And we got frozen yogurt and talked for hours

And I asked you to speak in Italian and French!

Back then we were just friends looking for a little more

Babe I love you almosssssttt as much as I love Star Wars

And that time we went to Coffe Col

We talked for a little while

Now we are mates of the soul

Even at the Terpsy show when I was so surprised to see your hair straight

It might not have been to you,

But that was my first real date

Maybe we were destined to be together

Maybe it was fate

That day you asked for my phone number I wasn’t surprised

I knew you liked me

But you’re bravery and confidence was truly enticing

And I’m sorry I gave you the wrong one

Now that I think about it after that we could a been done

In a competition between love and hate you already know we won

I want to make you my wife

Giving you my number again was the greatest decision of my life

So here’s to one year

Thinking about it I might just shed a tear

Cheers were still here

But were both underage so we can’t grab a bear

And I hope you don’t ever live in fear

And that you’re successful not only in your writing career

But staying the great person that you are

And keeping your mind clear

Happy Anniversary!!!

Oh and one last thing baby

Will you go to prom with me?
