Dearest great-grandmother,

That day you stood aglow

And we were much together

With courage and strength as your ammo

You showed no weakness or fear

Yet still showed kindness and love

I felt comfort when you were near

You're like an angel sent from Heaven above

The first birthday is always the hardest

No one compares to the love in your heart

You loved me regardless

It really hurts to be apart

You ascended to Heaven

That much I know

The pain of missing you will lessen

In my heart, your love will always flow

Goodnight, great-grandmother, and friend

Our time was cut too short

This is how this chapter will end

But you will always my greatest hero and support

With deepest love and adoration,

Daughters of the next generation
