Another Poem About Him Hating Poetry

Reading poetry has

Taught me many things:

Emotions,

Thoughts,

Political views,

Philosophical views, and

About the most

Difficult choice:

Love.

The emotions we learn

From reading can

Range from exhilarating fun to

Unending hopelessness that still

Lingers when we

Sneak out and you just

Know something bad will happen.

The learned thouhts and

World views guide us to

Help others and give away

Ourselves and our

Time and our

Hearts.

We are taught how to

Slip out of our lives

And think about someone

Else for once.

We are taught love from

Poetry by picking out the

Sweet ones for your lover

That you can always

Associate with them

Or you can learn it

From trying to

Find a half satisfactory

Poem because you want to

Be with someone for the

Rest of your life, but

They hate poetry

No matter how much

You read it to them.

And they let you read it to them.

So what is the connection between poetry teaching you love and you being in love with someone who doesn't love poetry?
