Another Statistic

Being seventeen and a mom is hard. Everyone looks at you like some tramp but, no one knows the real me. They don't know how I am an A-B student or how I help others in need. No one looks at me for the good things I do, only for the bad ones. I'm tired of being looked at funny when I tell people I have a kid. If people would take the time to talk to me, instead of snickering behind my back, they would see a wonderful person inside. Yeah, I made a mistake and got pregnant. So what, mistakes happen and wonderful things can come out of them. If people got to know me they would know what a wonderful mother I am to my son. Please don't make me another one of your statistics.
