Another World

I close my eyes and am transported To a world that doesn't exist in reality It's made up of hopes and dreams and wishes All waiting to come true, to be achieved, attained I revel in the carefree feeling Not worrying about the cosntant threats of life The scene begins to blur It's losing its brightness and color Darkness slashes through the haze Corrupting the hopes, Crushing the dreams, And tainting the wishes I fight the unwanted tendrils of reality Gripping at the fading fantasy, The vanishing utopia I jolt awake Faced with life's ugliness The ruin, the corruption, and the anger Consume the crevices of the earth I am stuck, unable to escape, from this living hell.
