Another World
There is something beyond the world that we see-
A world not of what is, but what simply could be.
A realm that disobeys the rules of our own.
Quite ironic in that it’s one we have sewn.
We discard it now as the seeds of our woes,
Unaware sadly of just what we oppose.
But I chose to look past these unfounded barbs,
Into its arms, I fall, give deserved regards.
This world is one of mankind’s own design.
An escape from the world of which we resign.
And it’s to this plane of existence I wander,
To spend the time of which some might say I squander.
But now, it’s no longer their world, and anything goes
The world is a sandbox for my child-like dreams
Be them to create or destroy, I do as I please.
No more structure for me to follow,
Unless I so allow.
But what is this world and what have I done?
I thwarted the master’s nefarious plot,
I halted Ceaser’s Legion at the Hoover Dam,
I restored the beauty of the Tamriel Empire,
And I halted the Covenant’s Great Journey.
Victories most would never understand,
As they’re not Oscar nor Pulitzer nominated
Like the ring’s fiery end or Holden Caulfield’s joy,
Merely a scapegoat for society’s qualms.
But when I say this, I beg you hear,
As never has such an art been so near.
Some have their film and some their novel,
But others such as me have this,
And for us it’s been truly colossal.
Because only in this art, can you chose your own way
Where the artist is the viewer themself,
And never kept at bay.
And it is this I wish to create.
A realm of possibilities for others to partake.
So that what has inspired me,
May yet do the same for someone else.
