Off To Another World

A girl sits with the book,"Peter Pan," in hand

A bandage on her arm held by a rubber band,

Holding the cuts that won't stop to bleed

Tears won't stop as they continue to creep

She just wants out of here

A place where she will be dear,

Not stuck as a pawn

Everyone hoping she would be gone

She knew what to say,"

Please, someone save me from this land

A life that she had planned

A life where she smiles

Happiness for miles

This blood of mine

Holding me down,

I wish for a change

From a stronger hand,”

Somewhere above

The moon shows,

A precious smile

With sad tears that glow

“Come with me,” He said

“Away from the pain everywhere, even in your head

Everything will go away

If you say,’Okay.’ “

The words rolled of her tongue

As a smile appears on her face,

She whispers,”Thank,”

As we go to a better place

This new land

Is better than she expected,

New people who are grand

As her happiness just added

The friends she made

Were the best in every way,

The fun that was played

Made her day

It was time to sleep

All said to each other,”Good night,”

Making her weep

Chocking as she sadly replied,”See you at daylight.

But promise to not fight,”

Crying could be heard around

A child asked her why,

But she began to see white

Meaning it was almost her time to fly,

So she quickly answered,”

Angels got to go home

I would be staying in the sky,

And if you ever feel the need to cry

Just look up and say hi.”
