The Answer

No one can hear

When I shout to the skies

And no one can see

The tears in my eyes

But I speak for me

So I hardly care

Words slowly die

When they touch the air

And that they ever were

No one knows

But they cannot stay

That's how it goes

I would buckle under

If inside my heart

All my thoughts were kept

I would fall apart

So I sing to those

Who won't ever listen

On the street corner where

Loneliness will always glisten

Like the ice in our souls

Never to thaw

Except to those, who

Stand here, tall
