the answer most sought after

A black girl in America?

A teen pushing through school?

An afro with a voice?

A body full of thoughts?

A head full of poems?

Who am I?

I've been trynna find that out for 17 years now.

And most search their entire lives.

But i can smell it in the air-

the essence of me-

so, i've got to be close.

I am...

I am a force of nature,

a child of God, and

a powerful humman being.

Iam a dreamer,

a seeker,

a doer,

and a lover of many things.

I am music.

I am song.

I am the sweetest taste of ambrosia on your tongue.

I am one soul trynna connect with another and spark something beautiful.

I am free and I am unique.

And, most of all, Iam, like you, flawed...

Just trynna make it out here in this flawed world
