The Answer is no longer in the skies

Seconds, minutes, hours, days && nites I've searched for an answer I've looked up to the skies, Praying that God hears my cries Weeks go by, && i run into a familiar face The sudden frown of my lips and sorrow in my eyes go away Reunited, those few moments made my life on hell seem okay Life & obligations pull us back apart & im here alone fighting this war As T.I. says "I won that fight, I lost that war" I won because i fought, in the process i lost a piece of me Something that i can never get back, My sanity and composure was altered Months go by & then i hear, the voice of that familiar face Countless amount of hours are used to reflect on the past. To prepare for the future, we must get over the past I had to let go of the fear of pain, being used and sense of vunerability As time passed, I am learning to trust To only do what God is asking of me He lifted me from struggle, & placed me in the field of opportunity It's time for me to decide which way to go, Ive decided to go in the direction of that familiar face No longer do I have to look at the skies, Im slowly but surely, taking a look into his eyes Finally, I feel like there is fate, Happiness & Joy is leading me towards the right way
