(The answer to a thousand forgotten prayers)
The answer to a thousand prayers
slipping and falling away
but I'm still here
and it's fools blood that I carry
The wise blood can't lift all our spirits
building pyramids are a young mans game
I have been called, but not chosen
to go,
to go and love my secret of love
There was a time when I would
have gladly obliged, but now life
is harder
and there is bread in the oven calling to
not burn, on an oven that converges now
with my hope. It feels funny to not care.
And have to keep my eyes open despite it all
thousands pray, but few are heard
but I hear the call
or at least I wish I did
