An Anthropogenic Myth

Hope hasn't a reason to

Dwell where the architects
Failed.

This is where dreams
Get lost. This is where you
Left me and my breathing

Stalled. Same place the
Breeze and the bees
Abandoned, the trees and
The leaves were stranded,
And the rest of the
World flourished.

This is where lightning
Strikes before the storm.
Early mornings extend
To night, Christmas is
Spent alone, Cupid is
Afraid to fight. Same place
The queen betrayed the
Knight, and we pretend
It never happened.

Utopias don't exist. We
Built an alcazar in a
Kingdom that won't persist.
Revolution is upon us.
