Anticipation

I wait and watch

Craving my turn

Sitting and shaking

As if I were an earthquake

Eyes twitching

Legs thumping

Heart pounding

Nails chewed

I sit back and inhale deeply

I hold my breath for almost a minute

Gazing at the hallway

Looking for something

Something that will take my mind

Take it away

Away from here

From the anticipation

Then finally

They call my name!

I sigh and stand

Relieved from my mind
