Anxieties

The hollow ache left unfed

Breathing under my bed

The memories clawing

Alive in my head

The voice screeching

Awake in my bed

I want to scratch my eyes away

With charcoal sticks

until my pain is coated in empty scribbles

I want to scream like barren hollow canvases

And Let the acrylic paint glaze over this crumbling yesterday
