Anxiety

Dear Anxiety,

Sometimes I listen to what you have to say.

As I go on, day to day.

“They won’t like your hair.”

But why should I care?

I listen to your tips,

as I bite at my lips.

“Nobody cares about you.”

But I had no clue.

My heart is racing

And my feet are pacing.

I am afraid of that crowd

Why is it so loud?

Nobody understands me
