Anxiety

Its happening again

I can feel my body heat rising

My hands began to go numb

My chest feels weighted

I breathe heavy

My hearts starts pounding

My head starts spinning

I’m almost to the point of no return

My anxiety is too much to handle this time

My world is spinning

I begin to feel faint, weak, helpless

Then I remember, that still small voice

The person inside of me who is stronger

The person inside who has learned to overcome fear

Overcome weakness and helplessness

The new person I have become

The person who is stronger, wiser, braver

I pause

I breathe

I relax

Releasing tension from my inward being

I began to feel at peace once more

Not today anxiety, not today
