Anxiety

I struggle

To wake up every morning,

I find it hard

To fall asleep at night.

Getting up in front of a crowd is impossible,

Breathe, I tell myself,

BREATHE.

There are people going through worse,

But I still find it hard

To stop the crushing weight on my chest.

I wake up,

Every morning.

I strap on my mask,

Afraid of what people will think

When they see the real me.
