Anxiety

There was a time when anxiety grabbed me by the tongue and my mouth dry like texas in a
drought
The fear paralyzing stealing my voice open my mouth nothing comes out
Though in my head I try to scream im trying to shout
Frozen Just standing there
Eyes bearing down on me they’re all unaware
I hear the whispers louder than a thousand voices stop talking stop laughing stop it dont stare
No one knows or thinks ask if im ok no one seems the care
Then for a second fear lost its grip on me and im out the door
Locking door in the bathroom as tears race down my face crying on the floor
My body shaking violently as my heartbeat rocks me shaking me right to the core
But now i don't panic anymore.
I've been there before,
I know that terrible feeling, and knowing it makes it less scary
I am all the stronger for my battle scars. Stronger for fighting the monsters who roam at night
So instead of letting that fear take me down, I tell myself everything will be alright.
I remind myself that I am a good personI have a heart full of love that ill always be good enough
Fear can only hold me back, stop me from reaching my dreams.
I can't say it never comes again, but each victory gets a little easier that its not as scary as it
seems
