Anxiety
Today was just a regular day.
Did my normal routine.
" Everything is going to be ok"
" Maybe today is the day things start to finally change".
Then It hits you.
You start to question who you are, your surroundings.
" I'll be ok".
You start to feel every ounce of your body drifting away.
You want to scream but you can't breathe.
You want to cry in hopes that someone, anyone can hear you.
Your breath starts to get shallow, your palms get sweaty, your legs become weak.
You start to panic.
You don't know what to do except panic.
You have nothing to do except to calm yourself down.
But how?
When all you can think about is the fear that one day this will all be too much.
Some people will never undertsand.
But those who know the feeling know that it will take over you.
If you let it.
Some people are strong.
But sometimes being strong isn't enough.
They give in.
And it takes them.
It takes their body, their mind.
Everything you thought you knew about yourself suddenly turns to dark, emptiness.
" It's all in your head".
They tell me.
"Get over it".
They say.
Is it too much to be held?
Is it too much to say " you'll be ok"?
