ANXIETY

The tension building up,

The pressure squeezing tight,

Fear of being a failure,

Fear of losing the fight.

Heart racing and beating,

Louder than a drum,

Anxiety’s heavy hand,

Leaves me feeling numb.

Slowly backing away from the noise and the fray,

Finding a place to stay,

Tears crawling down,

As I struggle to find my way.

Little words pierce deep,

Though they are meant in jest,

They add to the weight,

Upon my weary chest.

Always stuck in my head,

A relentless, swirling storm,

A million thoughts collide,

In a chaotic,tangled form.

But amidst this stormy sea,

A simple truth i know,

All will be well

All I need is to breathe.

Take a deep breath in,

Feel the calm embrace,

Release it all with faith,

And find my peaceful place.
