Anxiety

I am anxiety.

I am the worry in the back of your mind-

Constantly running,

And never leaving.

I am the increased heart rate,

The shortness of breath,

And the sweat beading on your forehead.

I am the fear inside your mind-

Of all the horrific possibilities

That could occur in every situation.

I am the relentless questions

Of why me? why now?

Why?

I am the sleepless nights,

With eyes wide awake,

And a pounding headache.

I am depression,

With sadness and tears,

And trembling symptoms.

I am anxiety.
