Anxiety

It feels like winter is coming

In the middle of June.

Its hard to breathe,

I'll black out soon.

I know it seems pointless

to obsess over nothing.

But you don't understand,

in my head it means everything.

If you could spend a day

Inside my messed up head

You would understand

I cannot control the dread.

It comes out of nowhere

Sometimes for seemingly no reason

It can happen any day, any time,

Any season.

I close in on myself

Burrow down so you don't see

You tell me its not real

But it is, how could it not be

The doctors say I need medicine

You say I'm an attention seeker

I can't afford for you to doubt me

I need you to be my keeper

Without you

I am nothing

I can't come back

If there isn't something

Anxiety is not my friend

It is my enemy

You are supposed to help

Not desert me

Bring me back from hell

Save me

Be the one that

Will set me free
