As Any Other Does

I dream as any other does, and I breathe.

I see as any other does, and I cry.

I stress over trials as any other does, and I will die.
I crash and I break down as any other does, and I seethe.

I smile as any other does, and I light my eyes in joy.

I caress soft things as any other does, and I long for their embraces,

I scream at the sky as any other does, and I question the lies,

I feel my lungs burn as any other does, and I long for the end of this race,

I let the waters wash over my soul as any other does, and I rock.

I forsake what I want as any other does, and I wonder why.

I watch birds fly as any other does, and I wish to join the flock.

I feel my tongue heavy as any other does, and I lie.

As any other does, I forget this,

And so to does any other.
