By Any Other Name: Love.

You asked me why,

Why I like you,

Without love...the word.

What is love

By any other name?

Still love is, does, lives,

As love will.

What matter that my heart

Aches when you aren't there.

Or that with you I am free,

Free to live, breathe, sing, talk,

As who I am.

All illusions stripped away.

When I'm with you I soar

On happiness and certainty

That you love me back,

Though not with love...the word.

Like

To like

To live

To love, by any other name

Still is

Love.
