Anytime
Anytime
I cannot think of
any other word
at the present moment that
means more to me than this one
A word that has given me
hope
for what is to come, no matter what
may be or have been
To hear it spoken
in my most desperate hour
can save me from any of my
tears and terrors
The breath from the lips of
angels, my guardians, my protectors,
to whom I am forever
grateful
What were once
simply seven letters now light
a fire of courage in my heart
to face foes and fears
No time has there
ever been in which this simple
word has not brought me
solace and serenity
A promise
of dedication that I can
neither ignore nor deny, my grace,
the everlasting light in my life
Defeating my pride,
I humble myself before those
who speak it with such
soothing sincerity
That nothing will ever be
too great to break the bond of
caring and compassion
between us
Whatever the future holds in store,
you and I
will always be there
to help each other through
Thank you
