Apartheid in South Africa

Apartheid in South Africa was a specific feature of the political, social, and economic life of nonwhite South Africans. So this leads me to my question, Should the government and the private sector deliver to all non-white South Africans equal rights and not be discriminated against on the color where of their skin but the person they are. My name is Jaylyn Harper-Corradetti and what makes me credible to talk about this world issue is that I worked long hours on researching and creating all this.I choose this world issue I never learned in my regular history classes about Apartheid in South Africa and I feel as if it is an untold cruel part of history that we should learn about so that we don't repeat our history’s mistakes.

In the bottom left corner,  there is a cartoon dinosaur I found online and made some slight changes to. On the dinosaur, you can see ¨Aparthied¨  on its stomach and some cruel signs hanging in the mouth. At the top right corner there is a painting of the flag. I started with a simple sketch of the dragon first and i put the 1st base layer of paint, then let that. so that i draw the extra details in. After i got first painting the dragon i went on to paint the South Africa flag. The dragon and signs relate to my topic because this cartoon depicts a dinosaur with its mouth open on which there is sign that reads, " Grand opening South Africa Official Governement Retrospective" on the dinosaur's body reads, "Apartheid" South Africa's discrimination system. The flag relates my topic because later after apartheid ended, South Africa adopted a new national flag in 1994, as the previous flag had come to symblozie the apartheid regime. The biggest problem i encounter was accidentally spilling blakc into my last little bit of while paint . Then also i accidentally spilled the apinbrush water all over me and the corner where the flag was at. My visual project took 6 hours lastnight.

The most important thing is that I need to stop procrastinating on stuff and actually do my work before last minute. Aparthied was hard time period for South Africa, I feel like everyone should learn this topic because like Edmund Burke said ¨ Those who don´ know history are
