Apartment

i turned 21,

4 days after moving,

into my 1st apartment,

i had sex 3 times with a coworker,

2 weeks before leaving,

i broke up with my boyfriend of 2 years,

6 hours after arriving,

2 weeks later i confessed...

the timelines intertwine

the numbers jumbled in my head

does any of it really matter

i'm not great with emotions

it's not really my department

i'm so up and down that i forget which is which

whiplash

as my memory loads

i relive the ecstacy of impulse

and realise the regret

all in the same breath

to live is to mourn the mistakes you have yet to make

and horde mistakes

until there are none left
