Apathy's glare

CC BY-SA
They see me glare They see the black They hear the sad songs And the spikes around my neck They see the shadows Around my eyes And the dripping mascara Looking like I cried They say it's a phase They want me to change But they don't see This is the eye of the hurricane They see the bangs They hear the snippy response They want me to socialize But it's just nonchalance They don't understand As I grow out It seems to be They are relieved But they still glare If I come out Of my room With my eyes covered by hair Or not a splash of color On what I wear But why do they care?
