What a word
But it is more than just a word you speak
It's the feeling of nothing
But again, it's something
Nothing isn't the absence of something
Apathy isn't the absence of empathy
Apathy is insanity
The insanity of being stuck in your head
Of the void eating you alive
Or thinking of the end
Or that you might as well die
That the world is a mistake
Or your life is a lie
That the world hates you
And you can't think to survive
So you lay in your bed
Your eyes can't close
And I see you spiraling
Into apathy's insanity
