Apology Poem: Goodbye: 2014

This is just to say…

I sincerely apologize

For not playing with you

The last time I was over

I didn’t know what happened

Would happen and it’s not

Really my fault but I am

So, so, so very sorry

I know it doesn’t mean anything

Now and I know you can’t hear this

Or see this or even smell this

Piece of paper I’m typing

On but if I’d known you would

Die on that day that month that year

I would’ve at least said goodbye.
