Decisions can be tough to make

Thinking too hard can give you a headache

UNC Charlotte or Appalachian State

Have to decide before it’s too late

Both schools offer my major

Either school can be a life changer

Free to meet new people

Especially with all the freedom

This decision has a lot to consider

But one school has to be the winner

Remain at home or go to the mountains

Both campuses were outstanding

While deciding, I developed some fears

To become a Niner or Mountaineer,

I would have to develop to change

Living in a new environment is strange

I have a fear of leaving my comfort zone

What’s to come is unknown

Peers told me to keep an open mind

Don’t want to walk around blind

I mostly feared making the wrong decision

This process was harder than what I had envisioned

I would have to make the most out of what I choose

And overcome the highs and lows

To help, I thought about the positives

Along with some of the negatives

But I realized that this is reality

Whichever I choose, I will get my degree

This was my 1^st adult decision

Shockingly wasn’t focused on tuition

Learned not every decision is easy

Also learned my family will support me

I know that I am loved

By family and the man above

I learned that this was my choice

And my decision will come from my voice
