APPLE

YOU are an apple on a tree,

turning COLD and ROUGH as the days go on

Yet I found a sweetness that nobody else COULD taste BUT ME

A tree that kept growing

A VARIETY of apples as well

I never wanted to leave its side

It grew pinks and harsh REDS

Knowing that it was poisonous I still stayed,

I spoke to nature,

"I would like to be useful to YOU in some way"

Your reply was painful to my CORE,

Although many PREFER GALA for its sweetness and reliability

You chose a RED that was REDDER than HELL

Yet I found a calm in your voice

WHICH MADE ME A FOOL

I took a bite of the poison

knowing that it will flow with the blood in my body just to kill me

But I CANNOT DENY anymore what YOU make me feel

You are my question that will never be answered.

Are you AN APPLE or are you A TREE?

Will you GROW or just KILL me?
