An Apple in the Dark
Once upon a time
she sat alone in a tower
the only words that she heard
were bitter and sour
Then one day a knock
at the old wooden door
and here came a voice
that she hadn't heard before
It said "Ma'am, have you ever thought
about an iPhone before?
its touch screen, has Siri,
and it's got iOS 4!"
Now Snow was white as a sheet
but she made it to the door
and there stood a man
"Mr. Hunter," he assured
Lets not forget he was sent
by the one and only other
that cold-hearted wretch
Snow White's own stepmother
She had a plot to overthrow
the very fairest of them all
now all she had to do
was get her out the castle walls
Snow sat there and stared
at her shiny new possession
she played and she toyed
and soon it turned into obsession
She wandered the halls
of that drab and dreary place
but the darkness fell away
when she was admiring her own face
She was poisoned to her core
like an arrow to her heart
but blinded by the light
of that glowing Apple
in the dark
She wandered far and wide
far beyond the tower door
to new exciting places
she had never been before
But nothing could distract
or break her growing trance
not the branches in her face
nor the thorns in her arms
When at last her suitor found her
she was curled up in a stump
he leaned down to kiss her
he received a hefty 'thump'
"Get out of my face!"
she finally spoke at last
her eyes never left her screen
as he stumbled back, aghast
"I'm busy, go away!"
she had become so sour and bitter
"I don't want your love,
just follow me on Twitter!"
