Apple Of My Eye

We were just leaves floating in the night sky

by chance the wind blew me by

as if you were the moon

and I the sun in the sky

you caught my eye

You eclipsed my heart into a forever night

and when the dawn breaks

after this new moon of twilight

there is no room left to hide

darkness subsides

and the clarity of my eyes

gives way to a new light

a new love

a new life

and no matter the ups and downs

of this roller coaster ride of life

the sun will always rise

the moon will always shine

and you will always be the apple of my eye
