Applying to colleges

I’ve written my name a million times

Why do they want to know these things?

Is it acceptable to make college essays rhyme?

End the sentence with a clear, consistent ring?

The chasm isn’t growing for now,

But my bridge looks small and grotesque.

Perhaps I should lower myself to the ground

And walk my own way and ace this test….
