April 24th Resolution- A Goodbye to Depression

Her cry pierced the sky He didn't care He was a Nightmare A defeated Shadow Looking only for escape Yet he could not outrun His self-chosen fate It's too late No time to wait The date has been set She didn't let him Do as he did He hid in the middle Worked beneath life's riddles That troubled the mind A shadow in the sunshine "Whoosh," went the wind, whipping, whirling Around red Faces, figures Dying for breath, in the last traces Of air, light and fair 'Round red, burning, turning Faces and figures, listen As the they splash in the distance A fall for each Who would reach the bottom Of the seas they were in But she could swim Somehow, this lifesaving instinct kicked in She was chosen and given A place, a way of escape She was no shadow in the sunshine Her love was divine, She had what he could never have She liked that She liked real things Even when he tried to hide them She liked things on wings that sing Even when she could not eye them And as she drifted in the seas She went on and defied them She put her problems over And decided to live outside of them
