Architecture will change my life

My mother is a tax preparer

My father is an Electrician

They been so for twenty five years

Still

They struggle to keep up with the bills

And keeping us alive

Soon I will enter college and they will have more bills

They have no help what so ever

Not even from my older sister

Since, she has no job, no college diploma, no house of her own

but a child and a husband

And every day of her life she is depending on my parents

Despite my parent’s financial struggles they don’t leave us behind

Now it is my turn to leave no one behind

Soon I will be an Architect

I will be someone my little siblings can look up to

And say “my sister is an architect”

I will be someone my race can be proud of

And say “she is a Colimenses (a person from Mexico, Colima) with a professional career”

I will be someone creating dream homes,

I will be someone creating outstanding architectural designs,

I will be someone who can change the world with my solar-power designs,

I will be someone.

It only takes this job to be someone in this world,

I want to make civilization possible like many of our architects did,

I want our people to live in a beautiful community,

I want my future generations to live in my art,

I want to bring the percentage of female architects high above the buildings

I want to be the first.,

Ana Keichline was the first female architect to be licensed in Pennsylvania.

Eleanor Raymond was the first to design U.S solar-powered houses.

Ada Louise Huxtable was the first to become an architect critic in the U.S.

I want to be the first in my family to become an architect,

I want to be the first to become wealthy,

I want to be the first to buy a house for my parents,

I will be the first.

 IF I get this job

How is this one job not life changing?

I will be able to leave my marks behind,

I will be able to move from poor to wealthy,

I will be able to move others from poor to wealthy,

I will be able to take care of my parents,

I will be able to pay the college tuition of my little siblings,

It only takes to become an architect to change my life and the life of my family
