Are We One?

Skrrr!

Pump the brakes, stop, and think

Are we one?

Ask yourself!

Do you believe that we are one?

In a world with war, chaos, and destruction

A place where one race can’t even care for itself much less another

Look in the mirror, do you see an open person?

One that will take the clothes off your back,

shoes off your feet,

money out of your wallet,

and food off your plate

To give to someone from a different culture

Or someone with a different belief than yours?

If the answer is yes, lie again!

We were born to sin, it’s human nature to survive.

Are we all born to collide,

Try, conquer, and divide?

I’m not angry, I’m preaching what I see

A world set up like a game of monopoly

Everyone’s got a different piece

Same opportunity

Whether consequences be good or bad

We all have a shot

Wait a second, maybe that’s what makes us one

The aspect of chance and decision can be taken from none

We are one!

We just need to open our eyes and see

That the reason we aren’t close is not you

Rather because of me.
