Are you alive?
Are you alive ?
She asks.
I look at her blankly
Unable to answer.
It seems simple
My heart beats
My lungs rise,
fall.
But I sit here staring
Mind numb;
I am weak.
If I am unwilling to live,
Or simply unwilling to admit that I'm alive,
Then am I truly living?
