eight months later,

i stand here feeling more alone than ever,

i decided i would become a barber and follow my passions over taking the “normal” route.

but the thing is i am not normal, i am everything but normal.

i also stand here more successful than i have ever been in my life,

i continue to grow and i love it.

i believed in myself and what i did when no one else would,

i have disappointed people i thought i cared about but i will make them proud one day.

i never thought that a university was for me, whether i am right or wrong i will do what i love.

i am passionate about so many things in life, not just cutting hair.

i promise you i will succeed in whatever i touch, because i will try my best until i die.

this stigma of it being rare to be successful without a higher education is false,

WE define our own success, not other people,

i stay true to myself and i work smart, hard, and with consistency.

i encourage you to do the same no matter what you believe in.
