Are You Proud Yet?

A letter for you:

I bend over backwards,

but not a word comes from you.

I fight and fight and fight,

but you never look down on me.

All I ask is for a smile or a word of praise or even acknowledgement.

I simply ask that you care.

But you don't care,

because you've moved onto the next project.

You let everyone else be proud while you keep moving forward.

I ask, "Are you proud yet?" and I smile.

Because even if you don't show it, we are both proud of what we have done.
