Are You Really Happy Though?

Dear Hate,

It's been a while since we last met. The last time I saw you was when we screamed at my cheating ex-girlfriend in the rain, when it was super cold and wet. How've you been? I can bet you’re having fun somewhere in Hawaii convincing two other friends to fight over a girl until one wins and deems the other one a threat. I'm just messing with you bro, but for real it's been a minute since I've hung out with you, Anger, Hostility and Regret. I've run into a problem and need some help that I think you guys would love to hear. That I can bet!

I'm in college now and haven't paid a single bill. I don't work anywhere because as a full time student I'm always at school, and this job thing sounds like it won't happen. Yeah, it never will. So I started stealing shit from places that were run by good people and in the beginning it was kind of a thrill. I felt bad for a while, but got over it real quick, cause I got used to it. It was how I survived, it was my skill.

Well, long story short, your boy got caught and is sitting behind bars. I need someone to bail me out, or at least talk to that isn’t like the people in here who are weird and bizzare. I’ve lost everything. My family, home, friends and dreams are way past my reaching point. Beyond the stars.

I hate me. For making these decisions and listening to all the voices in my head that tried to make things better, but in the end I ain’t even free. I’m stuck here staring at a reflection in a mirror with the only person in the world who I hate to be. Me. Life is keeping me company but I’m starting to hate him too. He tells me, “Don’t worry” and “We’ll get through this, you’ll see.” Pretty soon I’ll just kill Life to the point where I find myself next to you and your friends corrupting the people in Hawaii. I’ll see you soon.

Much love,

Happiness
